Welcome to the third instalment!
So far, in A Queen Who Lost Her Love: Poetry on Suicide I and A Queen Who Lost Her Love: Poetry About Suicide II, a kingdom was on the verge of a war. It was being attacked by a powerful enemy.
While the whole kingdom was busy preparing for war, the king and queen had the most eventful night.

The king seemed to have too much on his plate. On one side, he was raring to go to war to defend the soil, while on the other hand, he was equally baffled.
He knew the war was totally a one-sided affair and there was no chance of them emerging as a winner. And this made him restless for her beloved queen.
The question ‘what will happen to her after him?’ haunted him.
Find below two short poems that deal with how true lovers (here king and queen) react within self. They don’t want to burden each other with more worries, rather they live in the present.
From the Perspective of King
Find out what the king thinks.
King: When I’m No More
When I’m no more
Who will give her bread?
When I’m no more
Who will kiss her head?
The things like love last
And they equally die fast;
A hand of enemy to drag her on mud,
As if the moon fell on the rainy mud.
All royalness fainted in wild,
As though a lifeless child,
Where she will find respite,
Like a beautiful loose kite?

From the Perspective of King
Find out what the queen thinks.
Queen: When He is No More
When he is no more
I would too be no more!
No worries about bread
And none who will kiss my head!
Things like love last forever –
I know of this fact more than ever
I will too die when he is no more,
I will ride a sea with no shore.
Where will I find respite?
Not like a beautiful loose kite?
I will die,
I will die,
And embrace loyalty to my king,
And fly with white wings with my king!
We sincerely hope that you liked the above short story and poetry on suicide.
